invalid Id3 in Magix music maker

piyushkankaria wrote on 2/2/2013, 12:32 AM

I have been using Magiz music maker Production suit since a long time and recently a month ago, I switched over from Xp operating System to Windows 7.

Everything went fine and Now suddenly Magix Music Maker has been with a Problem.

When I try Importing an Mp3 or any such Audio files, It says

Magix has discovered invalid ID3 information in the file "SO and SO'.mp3

So you wish Magix to repair the ID3. When I click Yes, I get another Pop-up saying

"SO and SO'.mp3 cannot be read by magix music maker.

Please ensure that the affectet hard drive is not full or Write-Protection.

I have been finding solutions to tackle this problem, Please I hope here I would get some positive response.. It's really very urgent and Important.

Will this Fix if I switch again from Windows 7 to Windows 8?

I Dont think theres' a problem with the operating system because even after switching over, the software was working fine, now It has stopped importing files and says invalid ID3.

PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND HELP!

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

This is a user forum not Magix support.

This is a common problem with ID3 - will MMM load the file if you say No to fixing the ID3 error?

Using Windows Explorer, right click the audio file and select Properties, on the tab shown below check that the mp3 is not Read only

Click the Details tab - you should see the ID3 tags as shown in the example below - one of them may contain illegal characters - you can correct this by double clicking the tag and editing it.

HTH

John.

Okay! Sorry... But I tried doing all..

I vaidated my Mp3 files, Then again used Tag editor to have a check..

And when I click on "NO", the dialogue disappears and but the MP3 file is not imported still. Only when I give a "YES" option, I get another dialogue:

"SO and SO'.mp3 cannot be read by magix music maker.

Please ensure that the affectet hard drive is not full or Write-Protection.

I am sorry for posting it here, but I really need help now..

Hey, I had the exact same issue. After some searching I decided to remove the ID3 tags totally. Found a small handy program for that "ID Kill". After removing tags, it all worked like dream. Cheers, Esa

@PREM-KUMAR

Hi

Please read the first line of my post immediately above yours.

ID3 Kill is not a Magix product.

If you search the Internet there are many sites that tell you how to use ID3 Kill.
