I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to lay down tracks with individual instruments, such as analog synth, jazz drums, vita sampler, etc. The official tutorial vid does not help... What in blue hell do I do?

It is important to also read the manual, especially the first part to understand what you are doing.

I presume that you have purchased the program. Which version (year and basic or Premium - see under Help, About)?
