Installing "Free Content" downloads for Movie Edit Pro 17

I've seldom used MEP17, but wanted to get back into it. So, I downloaded all the free content (templates, demos, etc.) and when I went to install them, I got the red x error message that says "The installation is only possible after unlocking MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17."

Now, I've had the registered download version on my computer for years, and I did so legally through MAGIX. Any ideas how or what needs to happen so I can get the plugins and templates installed. I am attempting the installation logged in as administrator.

I am NOT going to buy a Magix support "coupon" like tech support says simply because it's been more than 365 days since purchasing this software. What a horrible way to support their product. The least they could do is have a more useable search function on their forum, so maybe I could find the answer without bothering anybody.

Thanks so much for any help you guys can give me.

Hi. I'm also not happy with the way the free content is downloaded. You cannot download it with a download manager. Once a component is downloaded, the executable is not always stored. I have MEP 17 Plus Download edition and would like to make a backup of my program with all the updates so that reinstallation wont require all the downloads again. As for your problem, i dont know.

I also agree that the search function in the Forum is no good. Many hits that have absolutely nothing to do with what you asked for.
