Just tried to install music maker premium 2023 on windows 11 Professional and it froze halfway through not sure how to proceed any ideas thank you Alienware 17 R4 16 GB ram I have no issues with music maker 2021
@Andrew-Allen Do you mean the download stopped? It's possible that Windows Defender or Smart App Control will block the download. You can disable them temporarily.
Thank you for your replies no the download did not stop it was the installation I have now resolved this and music maker 2023 is installed and running, the problem was a setting in Windows 11 which did not see the installation as a priority and put It on hold I was able to by pass this and the install then completed so thanks again
Thanks for the feedback - was this the Windows settings, Privacy & security, Windows security, App & browser control, Reputation-based protection setting (global) and/or Reputation-based protections settings the more granular control options for Edge, and Defender Smartscreen.
It is interesting that mine are off globally by default.
Hi John no the setting was in the Task Manager the enhanced delivery option did not turn on in this instance, which it usually does I use Chrome as my browser and I am currently using Windows Preview Version 22H22 OS Build 22623.875 I am still testing this version for Microsoft hope that explains what happened also I do not use Defender I have Bitdefender Antivirus I have Edge permanently disabled.
Thanks for the clarification. I am still on Windows 11 21H2, as a bug stopped 22H2 being installed, hopefully this is fixed in the latest release of 22H2.
Hi John I recently went to 22H2 on my wife's computer so I would say try again make sure you close all running programs before you update it did take a good while to install good luck with that as I am testing Windows 11 22H2 let me know if you do get it this time.
That seems strange it should take about 90 minutes and that is the longer time I suggest run windows update to make sure your completely up to date and then try 22H2 again I assume you have a good internet connection, and your computer meets the requirements TMP 2 and Secure Boot you can check this in your Bios if your not sure if secure boot is not enabled it will not install that is all I can think of for now keep me posted to how it goes.
