@Duane-Woodman

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

My understanding is that all the Magix "365" products can be installed and activated on a maximum of one computer.

Thanks Jeff for responding. I do not have the "365" version. In my account under My Products it states "Number of devices that can be used simultaneously: 2" I can have 2 activations under one serial number.

@Duane-Woodman

Correct, as there is no Xara Designer Pro X365 as indicated in your subject line.

In your account, do you have 2 devices already activated? If so, then deactivate one of them and try again. Sometimes a second device activation occurs because of a system or hardware change, thus your main computer may be there twice.

It looks like Pro X version 16 is still activated and the new update Pro X 18 is activated also. So deactivating version 16 should free up the problem and allow me to register my second computer. I will give it a try. I am concerned that deactivating version 16 will mess up version 18, but I will do a image backup first just in case. Thank you.

Hi,

No. You can install 16 on two devices, and 18 on two devices assuming that installing 18 does not uninstall 16, thus this could be 4 computers. You likely have different serial numbers for 16 and 18. Make sure that you use the correct serial number with the version.

I have 16 installed on two devices. This is what I see in my account under, you guessed it, Xara DPX365 for Xara 16:

For yourself, do you see 1 or 2 devices activated? 2 different devices?

I am getting a new computer. I will deactivate the first one in the image and activate on the new computer. I will actually probably get version 15, because of the Update Service. So, I'll probably upgrade to 18.5 first.
