Unfortunately that cannot be - CR3 is the Canon RAW still image file extension - not video.

The video will either be MP4 or MOV - if the latter then then VPX may not not support the Canon MOV format directly and you most likely need Quicktime installing - however QT is old and not supported on Windows by Apple and may not read the Canon MOV file format.

If this is the case then the video files will have to be converted to MP4 h.264 using a video converter such as Handbrake.

I should have realised it was mov or mp4 file , but I was getting frustrated try to load it as I have no bother with the old version of movie edit pro x i expected this would be as straight forward, I can't do with all the messing about I think I will just stick to photography, much simpler.
