Import Video_TS files from D drive for editing

I want to edit existing video that was copied onto a DVD disc. The file is a "Video_TS" with the sub files ending in TS ; BUP ; IFO etc. I can't view in Magix but will let me save onto the hard drive but i can't open to edit?
(Can view DVD ok on my pc's own DVD player programme)

Any suggestions............I see free programmes on the web for converting these files but suspect picture quality may suffer - pretty poor quality to begin with when copied onto the DVD.

I have Magix Movies on DVD7 (Part of "Rescue your videotapes" boxed programme)

Many Thanks

Peter

You'd open up the VIDEO_TS directory and just import the .VOB files into the program to edit them, starting at "VTS_01_1.VOB" (generally, if you see a "VTS_01_0.VOB", it's just the menu so you can leave that out). .VOB files are MPEG2 material - you can't import .TS, .BUP, .IFO files, etc..
