If all 16 rows are filled with music samples, can I add a line for audio recording? Also, I am recording over instamentals and have a ok mic with a wind screen, yet it still doesn't sound like a pro track, still sounds homemade. Any advice how to tweak to make more professional sounding?

All 16 rows of what ?  You need to be a little more descriptive on tis part of your questiom.....as to the other part, you answer it your self.  If you have an ok mic, my guess is that it will probably sound, well, ok.....not professional.

Mics can cost thousands of dollars.  Your MM program was less than $100.  Since you mentioned a wind sscreen, that usually implies vocals.....maybe you just sound ok and not professional.  Not being a jerk here, but my voice isn't professional grade....I just sound ok.

What is your Music Maker version?

By rows I guess you meant Tracks such as 1,2, 3-16. yes you can add tracks depends on the Music Maker version you are using try this and refer pdf Open MMM 16 Premium and click on File Tab File/Settings/Arrangement settings or click “E” on keyboard then choose number of tracks you need.

can I add a line for audio recording? if by line you meant extra track in that case yes follow above guidance. Please note in Music Maker you can only record one track from outer source at a time. If you do not mute your 16 sample tracks and start recording on 17th one from outer source all 16 will also be played.

have a ok mic with a wind screen,

First of all you record then polish it by using various tools available in the Music Maker. You have asked three questions in one posting.
