i want to start recording vocals to my tracks. Do I need to buy a mic that already has its own music creations software for altering my vocals or does Magix have plugins that can do this with just any usb mic

I'm not sure that I understand what you want to do with your vocals.

To start, take a look at this tutorial and then the tutorials for MusicMaker on the Magix.com site.

Take a look at the VocalTune 2 tool in MusicMaker when you are looking at the Magix site. It may be what you are looking for.
