I need to start from scratch and design my own drum beats and rhythms. Can this be done?

I need to have a custom drum beat and custom rhythm in my song. Can this be done? If so, how?
You, nihon94 & Procyon, have been wonderful answerin all my questions.
You are a real supportive group of MMM users ready any time to help others. Thank you once again. I will go ahead and download the Premium version although I would have liked to have received a hard copy of software and literature in the mail.
Bye for now.

Absolutely!

If you are talking about typical drum kits and percussion in a drum machine style, you will want to use the BeatBox2 synth.  You can use any number of preset drum kits or create your own custom drum kits.

I believe you can do orchestral percussion in the Vita MIDI editor.

If you are looking for something more techno and automated, you should take a look at the Robata synth.

You can do drum and bass rhythms in the Drum-n-Bass synth.

Or, you can use the presets in the LiViD synth for a more natural, human feel.

Yes, BeatBox2 is available in MMM.

I know for a fact it is available in the Premium versions.  The MAGIX website leads one to believe it is available in the Special (basic) version as well, but I cannot confirm that.

It would be helpful if you told us what you have.

Hi,

I am MMM 16 Premium user.
Making own beat is no problem. Beat Box 2 is available in Magix Music Maker 16 Premium. For you I have copied some information from pdf file and other than that you can also watch two newly uploaded video tutorials in Knowledge and community. Title and links are:

How to use Beat Box 2 for making beats?

The "Drum & Bass machine" creates phat beats and booming
basslines.

Robota" is a complete drum computer with four independent
instruments which can be played live. Several faders enable all kinds
of sound experimentation.

MAGIX Vita. Enhance your arrangement with amazingly realistic
natural instruments from the sample specialists Yellow Tools.

"LiViD", our "little virtual drummer" for realistic acoustic drum tracks.
Just a few instructions are enough for "LiviD" to play a complete
drum track with introduction, chorus, bridge, fill-ins, etc.

"Atmos" for nature sounds or atmospheres like rain, thunder, or
wind.

Hope this information will help you.

For any further help feel free to contact.

Thank you

The "Special" version is what used to be called the "Basic" version.

If you are planning to buy the Premium version, I would still recommend buying the Special version first and then upgrading to the Premium version.  This seems to cause fewer problems than those most people have had buying the Premium "Download" version.  Just my opinion.

Also, be aware that MAGIX has a tendancy to exaggerate and mislead people about the features of their products.  This tricks people into buying the less expensive Basic versions only to find out the features they wanted are only available by upgrading to the Premium versions.

Even though their website propaganda shows BeatBox2 as part of their Special (basic) version, I do not know this to be a fact.  One way or another, you'll probably need to purchase the Premium version, which I believe we would all recommend anyway.
