While I can find a simple one-click way to apply one transition (or random transitions) to the entire slideshow, I don't seem to be able to find a comparable option to apply one zoom/pan to all photos. The best way to go about this is probably by using the "MovieShow Maker" feature ("W" key). Just bring up the MovieShow Maker screen and pick a style that comes close to what you're looking for. There should be something suitable in there (e.g. "Chillout movement"). This way you can get some life into your slideshow without having to manually apply a movement effect to each individual image. There are a few more parameters in this dialog to play with, too. You might want to disable the default music associated with the style or replace it with your own song.
