I keep losing stuff from my project.

I'm having the worst time trying to finish a project with Movie Edit Pro Premium 2020. First, I've had assets mysteriously move all over the place. Okay, maybe I moved it, I thought, so I'll just start fresh. But now I'm having certain items, some audio, some stills -- in my timeline that suddenly don't play. It's there, but when it reaches it, it Will. Not. Play. Tried Solo, everything. Nothing helps. So I have to delete the item and re-import it to the timeline. This is really frustrating to the point where I'm going to finish this project and search for a better NLE.

I never had these sorts of problems back when I used Sony Vegas. Am I the only one having mysterious problems with a project file like this? I am beginning to wonder if I'll ever finish this 15 minute video because every time I get about 98% done, some mysterious video, still, or audio object will get moved, or will be there and just refuse to play.

Oh yeah, another issue I'm seeing is when I attempt to open a project, I will get a message that a certain .hdp file is already in use. Only option is to click the button on the dialog, which pops it up again. The only option is to kill the POC app in Task Manager. I'm really about done with this!

@RoadtripRay

Hi Ray.

The source files for this project wouldn't happen to be either game play footage or from a smart phone recording would they?

Ray.
