I have reloaded mm12 deluxe after my hard drive died and now that I am opening my compositions, because I used clips from the demo files in 'my audio vide' file, now that it has been reloaded it cannot link them into the compositions anymore. Help!

I have made a couple of large compositions using sounds from the soundpool and pulling in sounds from the demo files. Everything was fine until my hard drive died. Fortunately I had backed up the MMM files. But when I reloaded MMM12 it couldn't load the demo files back into the composition and half of the composition parts are missing. I need to get the demo files into the main soundpool again, but I'veno idea how to do it. Any suggestuions would be gratefully welcomed. Many thansk, Andy

Hello,

It happens when project files are moved.

You used sound from soundpool and demo files.

1. Soundpool

2. Demo

Scenariao, your hard drive died, you lost MMM 12.

You have re installed and now saved projects are not working as they should.

To solve this problem put everything as you had before hard drive died.

Folder name as it is, path as it is, copy projects in to proper folder, put demo or soundpool where it where.

You can do two things to solve this problem.

1. Go to Project folder where your files are saved and locate if you find any BAK file if you could luckily go back to MMM 12 File/Load and this time not project file with extension mmm use all files and load BAK file this will bring everything only if they are on your computer as before.

2. Open your project as usual you will see any missing file message browse one by one those file they will be added in the project again.

You said,

I need to get the demo files into the main soundpool again

Why did you save demo in to the soundpol if not then follow the method as mentioned above.

Or if you did save demo in soundpool then why not copy demo once again?

If you need proper answer please provide details.

Thank you

Nihon is being really helpful here, but unless all the constituent components are exactly there

where they were before your hard drive expired, it won't work.  This is the challenge you face.

Not impossible, but not easy either.

As for MM12 Silver, they're F.O.C., so you should be able to find a download via a google search?
