@Rayz-R

Did you try and run Acid pro 8 run as administrator?

Hi not that I know of everything is working in acid pro 8 apart from this one plugin , I will try and do that , not sure how you do it though.

@Rayz-R @PATIENT-X

I notice that the error message speaks about 'LEVELS.vst3'.

Can Acid Pro 8 handle VST3s?

I did notice the VST3 part of error.

There was talk of introducing VST3 support in Acid Pro 8 as @sheppo mentioned back in 2018.

I very rarely use VST in my Acid Pro.

It has now been introduced in Acid Pro 10 as mentioned below:

"VST2/VST3 Engine with 32-bit bridge With both the new VST2/VST3 engine and the 32-bit bridge you can run the latest plug-ins in ACID Pro and even bring your favourite older plug-ins into its sleek 64-bit ACID environment"

If Acid Pro 8 does not have support for VST3, which is part of Levels? then this will be the issue.

To quote - Acid Pro 8 (the current version as of 2019) supports 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, and has MIDI, ASIO, VST, VST3, DirectX Audio, and 5.1 surround sound support. I did install the mac version of Levels first as it wasn't very clear on the download page i'm wondering if I caused a bug in removing it ? Anyway will try administrator role as official acid pro channels wont help me as i have had the program over 12 months :/

PATIENT-X wrote on 4/13/2021, 7:22 AM

@Rayz-R

You could also try and Reinstall Acid to see if that helps.

Use the free Revo uninstaller to remove everything including remnants in the registry and then re-install Acid Pro.

Make sure every part of Mac version of Levels is removed by trying out free Revo uninstaller.

I will test out the reinstall thanks . Q) If I reinstall acid pro will I loose my song files and will I have to re add all my plugins and loop packs e.g loopmaster files ?

PATIENT-X wrote on 4/13/2021, 9:39 AM

@Rayz-R

You could save your acd files in a new folder, you'll have to go into your Plugin manager and Reinstall plugins.

Downloaded acid sample pack loops should be fine if they are in separate folder.

I have uninstalled Acid Pro before and all my acd files were still in their appointed folder, downloaded sample pack loops were unaffected as well.

Hi I am using the Revo to delete all traces of the .app , its also saying after deleting it that there is left over stuff in these following places and do I want to delete them , I am just checking it is safe to do so and it wont effect the p.c or registery. The places are MY COMPUTER - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mastering the Mix all have tick boxes available.
