I take it, this is about a Magix video software then? *.MVD would just be the project file format. It doesn't contain the actual audio and video data. You need to use the "Export movie" functions in the "File" menu of the program. You will find the possibility to mix down and export your project to a variety of common, standard video file formats, several of which are supported by YouTube (e.g. MPEG-2, WMV).
