After working with Sony they cannot get your software to recognize their device attached to my computer. Sony dumped me here. Navigating your site to this point has been difficult to say the least. The problem is that the Sony Turntable does not connect Sound Forge Audio Studio 9 LE (about box version 9.0d build 232). I have two ASUS gaming laptops with i7 12 core processors 32 and 16 GB of RAM. Windows 10 Pro on the 17" and Windows 10 home in the 15". I would prefer to used this device on the 15" most of the time and occasionally on the 17".. Thus far only the 17" can successfully listen to the turntable using the sound control panel. The 15" will not do that. Both machines return a -9999 host error message when attempting to attach with audacity 2.3.3. using openSUSe Tumbleweed and Audacity 2.3.3 I can record from the turntable on both machines. Why can I not record with your software using either of my windows 10 laptops. Basically I hit record and nothing shows in the meters as being active and as I stated Sony support claimed no knowledge of the Sound Forge app and sent me here.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Sony had me configure this app several different ways. I would not if I were you make any assumptions anything related to this app is properly configured. The last configuration had me set in the sound control panel Line USB codec as the playback device default and speakers USB codec as the record device default. In the Vinyl Record and restore windows reverenced using the Windows Sound mapper when pressing the purple 1 button. I have also tried this with Line USB Codec as the playback device default. my internal realtek speakers and the recording device default. Under options I used Microsoft wave with the previous two devices as my specified playback and recording devices. Neither configuration recorded any sound or showed any activity in the meters. The latter configuration is the one that works with audacity under openSUSe Tumbleweed (linux) Audacity under windows following the same configuration as linux returns a -9999 return code something about a host connection error. The settings for 16 bit 44100 mhz cd quality are the ones that work using linux and audacity. Sony had be try 16 bit 48000 and 44100 neither worked.
I hope all of this makes some sense to someone.
