I think you misunderstand! The serial number would have been in the email you received when you purchased the software.
Or, did you actually purchase the software from another supplier, i.e not direct from Magix?
If so, I think you need to ask that supplier this question. I seem to remember a similar question recently in the forum but, at the moment, I can't find it.

FWIW, I bought AS14 from Best Buy. I got the serial number, but the process was pretty elaborate. It would be easy enough to miss a step or two in getting what you wanted.
Since I've never used this "route" when buying Magix software, can you explain how this actually is supposed to work? I assume you are given a "voucher code" to enter in a web page? If so, is that a "Magix" page or a "BestBuy" page?
I'm just trying to determine who is responsible for rectifying this problem.

To the best of my recollection, I was simply forwarded from the Best Buy site to the Magix site after I made my purchase at Best Buy. When that happened, Magix took over the procedure of providing a serial number. I even have the Magix e-mail with the serial number on it in my files.
I've purchased software from Sweetwater, B&H Photo, Pluginboutique, Nugen, Acon Digital, and probably a few other places besides, and buying software from Best Buy didn't differ in any significant way from buying software from the other places.

best buy wouldn't email the serial number, sorry
Russell, unless you can give a more detailed account of what happened, meaning from the point you actually purchased the software up to the point you encountered your first glitch, people are going to have a very hard time helping you. I, for one, can't glean anything from your one-sentence posts. I'm the one providing background info to the mod, but I'm not the one with the problem. I don't understand that.
