Hi

Do you have sufficient free disc space on your hard drive for the install to complete?

You may have a bad disc or your DVD drive cannot read the disc properly?

Do you have another DVD drive you can try with the computer?

How long is the freeze ?  Sometimes certain files are longer or take more time to compile, or you are runnig conflictiing stuff in the back ground.....if Johnebakers stuff doesn't apply....try my  suggestiions....or you tell us a little more

As John and gnarly has already answered I would like to add further.
Mostly freezing of a software caused when there isn't enough RAM or if Processor is slow.
If you want an answer better provide following details, so someone could guide you in the right direction:

Software version
Windows/Mac Operating system (such as XP/Vista/Window 7 or 8)
RAM (total memory)
Processor speed
Hard disk space (empty)
