How to stop the ''Installations Manager'' permission screen popping-up

Apollo89x wrote on 9/27/2023, 12:32 PM

Everytime I open MEP I get the pop-up saying:
Do you want to give ''Installations Manger'' permission to make changes to your computer... ect

I don't want to download/install any of the crap such as 'travel maps' or demo templates...
But because I've uninstalled them | Everytime I open MEP it displays that annoying pop-up screen!

*I've already ticked the box about ''hide news'' | But this still keeps happening.

@Apollo89x

I suspect there is no way to stop that message appearing!

Because the edition you have offers these "extras" it assumes you really do want them and so offers them to you "automatically". What is the problem of installing them and then simply not using them, if you really find them as apparently offensive as you suggest? Unless you are running very short of disc space I can think of no good reason to not install or later remove what you have actually paid for!

Sorry to not be able to offer any other solution to you.

I have tried ''installing then uninstalling'' the stuff...
However it displays that prompt everytime still once the content is uninstalled.

I have no ''lack of space'' on my laptop...
But don't want to have to host BLOATWARE on my computer, purely because a company tries to enforce it | And that's all this stuff is, bloatware.

What pops up before this? A message asking if you want to install Additional Program Content?

BTW, your crap and bloatware are features that most users want and find useful. If you don't want it, fine. But don't go telling users that it is crap and bloatware when they probably actually want and use the additional content.

And the company is not forcing you to do anythng.
