Welcome @ERIC-CARPENTER to the Magix Sound Forge forum

Are you saying the MP3 save option is grayed out?

There have been other previous reports of problems with MP3s here and over at the Vegas Pro audio forum. You can try resetting SF which is in the 'File' menu in SF Pro. If that does not work, uninstall and reinstall SF. Both ways have been know to fix the MP3 abnormality. Search this forum and the Vegas forums for other possible remedies.

Thanks for offering the help. It appears there just is no mp3 listed in the save as in sf14, which makes it worthless for me. SF12 has mp3 available and is what I've always used for news cuts. Have uninstalled twice and used the reset in file, just no mp3. Unless mp3 is available guess i install SF12 like my other machine has.

That's amazing, because I just opened AS14, and .mp3 is definitely one of the save options. It's hard to imagine Magix deliberately excluding the .mp3 option from its big-ticket editor.

AS14: "import and export MP3"
