How to run Slideshow Maker Within Movie Edit Pro MX Premium

mjolnir wrote on 8/18/2012, 1:22 AM

I'm trying to create a slideshow from within MEP MX Premium, so I dump the the pictures into a track, run Slideshow Maker, and chooose the default style - Chillout relaxed. At this point I just want to try it out so I leave all settings at the default values. Clickinng on Create Movie (Preview) does nothing, and worse, this warning pops up:

I have 12 tracks in my project, and I'm wondering why this message speaks of selecting Ignore when there's no ignore button.

Could someone please help me make the Slideshow Maker work?

Thanks a lot!

Hi

How many tracks, including empty ones, are available on the timeline for the project ?

Are all your video/image objects on  track 1 ?

Hi John,

Regularly, I only use 8 tracks on my projects, as these are more than enough for my purposes. When I got this error, I tried using 10 & 12 tracks; the error still pops up. I also tried "spreading" the pictures across 8 tracks, with a couple of blank ones, but that made no difference. I've installed the Slideshow Maker styles from the Downloads section of MEP.

Hi

I suspect there are insufficient free tracks for Slideshowmaker to work with.

Open the Project/movie settings dialog (File, Settings, Movie) and set the number of tracks to 32.

then try using slideshowmaker again.

If the number of tracks is already set to 32, create a new project and put all your video/image clips on track 1 in the sequence you need.

Do not add any effects and transitions as slideshow maker will do these for you - and you can change them after if you wish.  Make sure all other tracks are empty and then try slideshow maker again

HTH

Thanks John!

It seems Slideshow Maker needs at least 16 tracks to function minimally. Maybe depending on the effects more might be needed.
