How to playback MIDI-files in Samplitude X2 & MIDI-files editing capabilities of Samplitude X2...?

thorsak wrote on 3/28/2016, 11:30 PM

Can someone describe in DETAIL how to correctly set up this Program to playback any MIDI-files - I'm NOT getting any sound (Audio-files are played-back OK though).

- ALSO: does Samplitude X2 have capabilities of EDITING MIDI-files...?

Thanks for any prompt advice re the above issues.

Hi,

The track with the MIDI file has to have an instrument selected. Did you select an instrument? Did you download and install all of the synths and soundpools?

There is a forum dedicated to Samplitude Pro.

Kraznet has produced a couple of hundred video tutorials on YouTube.

Double - click on a midi object and the midi editor will open. You should start reading the very detailed manual.

I also did a tutorial on Getting Started in MusicMaker which is about the same as Samplitude and I show how to lay down tracks including those with instruments. And I did another one showing how to use Music Maker with Movie Edit Pro, including using several different instruments and MIDI. These are under the Tutorials tab of this forum.
