Hi,

You can purchas copy protection software on line from companies like Nero (product is Nero Burning ROM) and NewSoftwares.net (product name is Copy Protect) and a number of others.  Price tends to be around $70 US.

Hi

If you mean a disc that can be played in any DVD/BD/computer player but cannot be copied then the answer is no.

The only way you can do this is to become a licensee of products such as Macrovision - though this will cost you thousands of pounds/dollars/your local currency to obtain a licence, not to mention that you also have to jump through many hoops before they will even consider granting a licence.

Plus these protection systems have already been hacked and software is available to remove the protection and copy the discs - illegally of course.

Your only option is to add a short copyright notice video as an intro that plays before the disc menu appears - the option is on the Menu Edit dialog as shown below - no 1 in the image -  and add another at the end of the video.

The products George has mentioned are for securing data discs not videos.

Hi Again,

After reading John's post, I did check further.  The home page for the products mentioned create the impression of DVD copy protection but when you look futher at what they are offering, it is file encryption not copy protection.

John is absolutely right.  I should have researched a little more before posting my comment

Sorry,

George
