How to hook up electric guitar on Music Maker 2016?

I just purchased Music Maker 2016 and was able to successfully play my MIDI keyboard, but I want to hook up my electric guitar and play it on music maker. Is there a way to do that? I've tried going to settings and looking at the input device part under the Audio/MIDI tab, but it doesn't show the guitar USB. Please help!
