How to eliminate interference lines in resulting video after transfer

How do I get rid of horizontal interference lines in resulting video , DELL XPS Win8.1 - canon camcorder cassette, running at normal playback speed, via svideo cable and magix usb adapter.   original video shows no interference when seen as playback on the camcorder.

Your 'magix rescue your tapes' software purchased and arrived within the last week (18 Oct, 2014).   Sounded good in the advertisement, however, the resulting horizontal lines (as if on fast fwd) make the transfer a waste of time.   What am I missing here?

Hi

. . . . What am I missing here? . . . original video shows no interference when seen as playback on the camcorder. . . .

The interference could be coming from many sources:

  • Interference from ighting
  • Mains interference
  • Poor shielding on the computer
  • Camera, converter and cables to close to electrical equipment
  • Bad tape / loss of sync
  • Video heads wearing out
  • Drop out on video capture

etc etc.

Without knowing how you are connecting the camera to the computer, your computer specificationand the settings you are using for capture it is difficult to advise.

John
