how to dowload from Samsung camcorder

I can import but not download from the Samsung camcorder I bought. Regardless of the PC download on or off function. It says device not found through Movie Edit pro 16.
That means I cannot upload a video that has been edited to the camera either. Is this software sucky or am I missing something?

Does this camcorder use SD cards to save Video?
If so you are wrong. The files have to be copied to the pc. Read the instructions of your camera and you will find how this works.

If it use tapes it could be a problem with the driver of the firewire or the hardware itself.
