How to delete a marker without deleting the track

bigcitydave wrote on 12/26/2020, 2:06 PM

I recorded a song with a quiet piece and a section that I wanted to delete immediately following. A marker was set at the beginning of the quiet piece as if a new song had started. I then set a new marker at the end of the section to to be deleted and deleted the unwanted section. Now the song is split into 2 objects at the point where the original marker was set. It also appears in the track list as 2 different songs. So, how do I delete a marker without deleting the track and still keep the song as one object? Help Wanted. I am Using ACL 17 and Windows 7.

I have the same problem as well as the first few seconds of a recording being omitted. Did you resolve your issue?

@bigcitydave, @richyb

Hi

Try right clicking the marker you want to delete and select Delete marker.

I would advise you to read the manual available under Help

Hi

. . . . Any advice re the first few seconds of recording not recording . . . .

That depends on what you are recording.

If recording audio that I can play or from microphone then I always start recording first and wait a few seconds before hitting play or start talking.

I’m recording audio. I have just been trying some recording and while two tracks were successful, the next two weren’t. I start recording a few seconds before clicking on the track I want to record. It has only recently been like this though I had an identical problem with an earlier version on Audio Cleaning Lab.Richard
