Hi,

What type of mask are you looking to use to remove the person.do you want to just put a black square around them, blur their face, etc.  Also is the person moving or reltively stationary.

Hi. Well the person is in motion. I am just looking to mask apart of the video so that the picture on the first track will show. I would just like my subject in the overlay to show. Why is there no turorials from magix to show us how to use their program. Why do we have to fish for everything we want to do. It sucks!!!

Hi,

I would agree that there should be more tutorials.  Please know that this is a user forum so none of us here actually work for Magix.  I have put up a number of tutorials on my YouTube account to help other users solve specific problems.

If you like, if you send me or post on youtube a short segment (say 10 seconds) of the video and a copy of the photo you want to overlay decribe which person you want covered by the photo, I will do a quick tutorial showing yu exactly how to do this using your images.

ps. If you would rather not use your own material I could do a more generic version as well.

Hi Thanks for your answer. I would very much Like it if you can do a Tutorial on this. You see I have checxked the manual also and have tried everything but when I import a mask (premaid ones) and do everything it remains White where the mask should be and Black when the Video in the 1St. track dhould appeare.

 

I do not know what I am doing wrong.

ok:  I have a background video running on Track 1.

I have this second video running on track 2.

now I cut it so only the part I want to do is there. There are 2 people in the video and only ONE should be there. I go to Effects>btightness and make it 70.

Then I import a mask from HD folder

Then I go to size/position and position the white part on top of the person I need.

NOW  What do I do???

when I play this just the white part shows but not the Person.  also, Where it is black the video from the track 1 does not show.

 

What do I do.

Please help me.
