How to correct skew (MEP2016+)

Recycler wrote on 11/10/2015, 4:50 AM

I recorded a talk with projected slides, and unfortunately had to have the camera slightly off axis, resulting in a visual skew to the picture:

In a previous video editor I used (Serif Movie Plus) it was possible to hold down Ctrl and simply drag the corner points of the marquee to a new position - in this example I would drag the bottom right corner up and to the right, and the job would be more or less done.

In the Magix stable, although there are worthy manipulation tools, this kind of direct corner repositioning does not seem to be available.  Is it there, please, and I just haven't found it?

Thanks.  - Mike -

Hi

. . . . In the Magix stable, although there are worthy manipulation tools, this kind of direct corner repositioning does not seem to be available . . . .

To correct for this kind of distortion you need to use:

     - Effects, View / Animation, 3D distortion

     - Effects, View / Animation, Size / Position

     - Effects, View / Animation,  Lens Correction, Perspective - if necessary

Here is a before and after example (still requires a little fine tuning to correct the barrel distortion)
