@Rodjack

I think that you have to increase the record level for the Focusrite in the Windows Sound Settings. Set it to the maximum. Magix audio programs use this, and of course the level set on the interface, for the recording level.

@Rodjack

You say you have Magix Studio 25.0.0.32. I think we need you to clarify something, please! The latest version of Acid Music Studio is version 11 so I cannot see that you have version 25!

So, do you actually have Music Maker version 25.0.0.32?

If so, which audio driver are you using? You should be using the ASIO driver - I'm pretty certain the "Focusrite Control" software includes one - which you should certainly have installed and be using.

So, please give us a lot more detail about the actual program you are using, exactly which audio driver along with details about your computer (OS, hardware, CPU etc., etc.)

Just as a slight aside: the Shure SM57 mic's output level is naturally quite low, so if you are recording a quiet acoustic guitar there could be a problem of the sound being too low, although the Focusrite, if everything is set up correctly, should mitigate this at least to some degree.

I have the 2i2 also, make sure the 48V button is pushed in.

This is highly unlikely to help the OP, unfortunately. He/she has a Shure SM57 which is a dynamic mic; 48v is for use with Condensor mics only.
