How to Change Font Color

sakaribearden wrote on 8/22/2011, 7:28 PM

Hi Magix Community,

I am trying to create a video to post on YouTube. Only, I'm having problems trying to change some of the words to the color I want. I have 3 words on one row. But, I want 2 words gray and 1 word red. But every time I try to make the word red, it will be invisible in the preview screen or it will change the entire row of words red. I played with the software for hours trying to get it to do what I wanted. But, nothing worked. Is there a solution to this? Could the software be malfunctioning because my virtual memory is low on my computer? Please HELP, HELP, HELP!

Thanks,

Sakari

Hi

it is possible to do what you want see image.  Highlight each word in the text editor in the monitor window and change its colour using the text dialog as shown in the image.

Your virtual memory problem is due to lack of free disc space or the Windows virtual memory setting is too low and fixed.

IIRC you cannot change the individual words font colours with MEP 11.

If you intend to upgrade to MEP 17 then please check your computer meets the required spec for the software.  I would also advise having a second hard drive installed to put all your video files on.

Hi JohneBaker,

I really appreciate you answering my questions. I didn't think you could change the color of the words with MEP 11. It's weird because everything else in the program seems to work just fine. I thought the program was malfunctioning because my computer is so low in memory. I plan on cleaning it out soon and putting all my large files on an external hard drive. I do have a lot of documents, pictures and videos since I've had the computer for so long.

How much is the MEP 17 anyway? Can I purchase it at BestBuy?

Thanks again,

Sakari

Hi again JohneBaker,

Can you convert a PowerPoint Presentation into a video file? I know that in that program, I can change the words to whatever color I want. If not, it's not that important. I'll just do the video with the words in other colors.

Yes - there are plenty of free converters available both online and for download - search Google for Powerpoint to video converter.  I have not used any so cannot vouch for the results.

I buy my software direct from Magix on DVD, never the download version.  BestBuy only seem to have an earlier version.
