How to assign "knobs" on a MIDI controller ?

Hiya. I'm trying to make use of older "gear" rather than tossing: I just set up a M-Audio "Ozone" to a Windows 7 laptop running Music Maker EDM edition. I've got everything set up and working to the point that I can hear audio from Music Maker through the MIDI keyboard's headphone monitor and I can controller instruments with the keyboard. YAY!

What I'd like to do next is assign the 8 control knobs to Music Maker's instrument knobs. I can't seem to figure this part out.

Thanks! :)

@RMagix-BMagix

In Music Maker this depends on the plugins you use. Usually, for Vita Instruments you can right click on any control you see in the instruments GUI, activate MIDI learn in the right click menu, then wiggle a control on your MIDI controller to pair it with the GUI control.

Other plugins may work differently. If the plugin doesn't have a MIDI learn functionality you need a different DAW that has the ability to pair any plugin parameter to a MIDI controller. Music Maker is deliberately feature limited and doesn't have this feature.

You may want to try to load other VSTs inside another VST plugin that offers MIDI learn feature. It looks like the free Waves Studio Rack VST has this feature, but I never tried it personally. But it might work.
