How to add Toontrack EzDrummer, EzKeys & EzMix to VST Instruments (Magix 2014 Premium)

gmeddins wrote on 7/6/2015, 8:03 AM

Hi,

I am currently using Magix 2014 Premium and have just bought EzDrummer, EzKeys & EzMix from Toontrack.

Is it possible to add these to the VST Instruments? If so, how is this done, as I have tried adding the folders but nothing shows up in my instruments.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Kind regards

Gavin

Hi

After you have installed the 32 bit versions of EZDrummer, EZKeys and EZMix you need to add them into Music Maker.

Open Music Maker and click the Synthesizer tab there you will see and Add button, click this and then browse to the folder where the plugins are and add them.  MMM will then pick up the VST instruments.

These are the Add buttons in MMM 2015 and MMM MX (I do not have 2014) however it should be similar to one of them

  MMM 2015

  MX

Hi johnebaker,

Thanks for your response.

I have already done this though (2014 seems the same as 2015) and have tried using the "+ add" button AND going into "Program Settings > Folders > Add VST Plug-in Path" but these do not get added for some reason.

Question though, I'm pretty sure I installed the 64 bit versions, not 32 bit. Would this make a difference? Does Magix only install 32 bit VST Instruments?

Yes it makes the difference between working and not working.

MMM2014 is a 32 bit program so requires 32 bit VST's.  The install instructions in the installation package for the Ez....  VST's do state this in the installation instructions.

Install the 32 bit VST's - they should go in a different folder - and then add them into MMM again.  They should then be available.
