@Robert-Madison

Hi,

Again, it took the first image and the last image and put them in the slideshow, with NONE of the images in between.

I don't know what you are doing wrong. Post a screen shot of what you see just before you import.

Watch the video for how to import multiple photos.

I also need to go back to my last two slideshows and make sure all the images I clicked actually made it into the slideshows.

At the end of the video, look at the Media Pool Import screen. You'll see that every photo that has been imported has a red light turned on. That is the easy way to see if a photo has been imported.

There is no reason at all to ever have more than two tracks.

Really? I guess that no one will ever want to add a title or text or narration or overlays or make a collage.

Since you suggested using he Shift key rather than the CTRL key, I will try that on my next project and see if that works. If it was my mistake to use the CTRL key, perhaps browj2 could simply have pointed that out rather than behaving like an a** when I clearly spelled out exactly what I was doing and he never bothered to tell me I had made a mistake.

In the other thread where you asked the question, you were told by @johnebaker to use Shift if you wanted a contiguous selection. I suggest that you take a look:

If you want a contiguous sequence, hold down the Shift key and left click the first and last in the sequence, then drag and drop on the timeline

Since you seem to have trouble with drag and drop, I told you to use the Import button after the selection was made.

Not only did John E Baker tell you (the first time) about using Shift for a multiple contiguous selection, as I showed in my last post, I told you again in this message which says:

Click the first image to select it. Hold down Shift and select the last image. All images will be selected. Import - as I showed you.

And you replied with this:

For the second time, THAT DOES NOT WORK. It only puts the first and last images (the ones I checked) into the slideshow. Or, as in the last time I tried (20 seconds ago) it takes the first and last images (the only ones checked) plus one random image from somewhere in the middle. Your instruction is FALSE.

Nowhere was I "deselecting" any image by clicking it twice. Your accusation is FALSE.

.....For kicks, I just went back and repeated the process you indicated. Again, it took the first image and the last image and put them in the slideshow, with NONE of the images in between.

Of course, you didn't say exactly what you did - the "process" to get the wrong result.

Then in the next message, @emmrecs told you:

Are you certain you are holding down the Shift key when clicking on the first and last images (and not the Ctrl key) and keeping that Shift key held down until the import is complete? I have just tested this on my installation of PS 2025 Deluxe and it works exactly as John describes!

If this is really not working for you can you create a screen recording of you carrying out the procedure so we can see exactly what is happening for you?

Then I told you again, and showed you with a video, that Shift does indeed work. And you insult me for by saying that "perhaps browj2 could simply have pointed that out rather than behaving like an a** when I clearly spelled out exactly what I was doing and he never bothered to tell me I had made a mistake."

And then I told you in this post:

I don't know what you are doing wrong. Post a screen shot of what you see just before you import.

So, you were told the same thing multiple times how to select and import multiple contiguous images using Shift. We can't see your screen so we don't know exactly you are doing. In the other thread you said that you followed the procedure exactly and didn't get the same result. But, instead of using Shift, you obviously did something else, but what, we don't know, except that we know that you did not follow the instructions.

In one of your messages you said that:

As I was never informed that there was "additional content",

I doubt that. You probably just ignored the message about the additional program content and turned it off when you first installed PhotoStory. See this video.

You have unjustly insulted the program multiple times, and now you insult me. I have given you much more time than you deserve, so I am out of here. Read the manual, watch the tutorials.

@John-Low

Hi

. . . . As I was never informed that there was "additional content" . . . .

On the very first start and after activation, you would have seen this popup message:

If you clicked the indicated options, you would not see this popup again, if you did not set the 2 options shown, the message will pop up every time you start the program.
