Hi,

The ASIO driver is relevant to your sound hardware. It doesn't matter whether that's an on-board or PCI plug-in sound card inside the computer or an external audio interface that connects via USB or FireWire. If the hardware you're using doesn't come with its own ASIO drivers, a generic ASIO driver like "Magix Low Latency" or ASIO4ALL might do the trick. So, here's what you need to configure in Music Maker: Go into the sound driver setup by pressing "P" on your keyboard (Audio/MIDI tab). Switch to ASIO as your driver architecture via the radio buttons on the left-hand side and pick a suitable ASIO driver from the drop-down list. "Magix Low Latency" is installed with the program. So, that one should always be available. You could also try ASIO4ALL, which needs to be download and installed first:

Now try recording again. Your latency issues are probably pretty much gone, just by using ASIO drivers. Further optimizations in system performance or buffer size might or might not be necessary.

Good luck!
