How do you save a Video with less KB?

HI Guys,

I have been using Magix Movie  Edit Pro Premium 2013 tp make a series of videos.

I have been exporting to WMV for powerpoint and the size of the file is around 20K. Then suddenly it jumped to over 100 KB and will not play with being jerky.

TO my knowledge I have done nothing different however maybe I have and do not realize it.

What checks can I make to change the size download without it being the 1920 x 1080 rate. They are all exported in HD, just for some reason the latest has been much bigger files. The imported files are all similar size and from the same source.

Thanks

Tony

Hi

The main parameter that you can adjust, to reduce the file size for a video requirement of fixed dimensions , is the Bitrate setting in the Export, Advanced button  dialog (highlighted in purple) in this image.

There is a small gotcha with this - if the video has very little action/movement in it then the compression will be higher, videos with a lot of action/movement will compress less.

Hi,

If you create video for the WEB is not necessary to output in 1920 x 1080 you can use much less 1280 x 720 or 854 x 480 or 640 x 360 this reduce the movie size and less KB.
Also, use a VBR that means variable baud rate. If your movie contains les movement or action, this compresses more.
Avoid background with a lot of movement like leaves in trees, uniform color background help to compress more, avoid excess zooming during shooting and effects.
