How do you mark sections while editing?

I'm editing in time line and I want to mark a section so I can go back and make a decision on where I want to cut.

I would use a Chapter Mark. Put it where you're thinking of cutting, and you can delete it later. The Chapter Mark is found directly above the video in the Timeline Edit mode next to the magnet icon.
