How do you make Title Characters spread horizontally apart in Movie Edit Pro Premium MX or in 3D Maker?

Hi,

I've got MEP 14 Plus, MEP Premium MX and Magix 3D Maker.

Anyone know how to make the characters (letters) of a Title spread apart horizontally (to left and right), without changing their size?

This is something that can be done in Windows Movie Maker, AVS Video and lots of other programs, but I haven't been able to do it in MEP or 3D Maker and I love the effect.

Thanks in advance,

Seamus.

Hi,

I can't think of any way to do that without splitting the title into its individual characters. A test confirmed my suspicion that this is a tedious method!

You've got my curiosity aroused about Movie Maker now! I used that for 6 months or so a long time back and don't recall that effect. Can you tell me where to find it please and I'll dust off MM and try it? If it proves impossible in Magix, you could always just make it in MM and import the result. That's something I still do with MoviesOnTV for certain collage effects that Magix doesn't have.

Or, albeit a poor second best, maybe you could settle for an adapted (and reversed) version of One click animation > Strong crush ?

Edit: I tried the individual character method again, and although it is ponderous, if as you say you like it a lot then you might want to persist. This example took me about 20 minutes to make:

I used standard KFA techniques for that.

Please let me know if that helps. We're just users like you, and feedback is appreciated.

Hi Terry,

Sorry for not getting back sooner!

Actually, I checked Movie Maker and it doesn't exactly have that effect!  But AVS Video Editor does, and that's where I found it.  I was using both programs around the same time and got them mixed up.

However, I've been trying out BluffTitler and that will do it really easily.  Amazing program, the Easy Version being very inexpensive for what it does.  I'm going to purchase it.

If 3D Maker included the 'Spacing' function (it's pretty standard really) I wouldn't have to do that...  :-)

Thanks for experimenting!  But check out BluffTitler if you haven't already.

Seamus.

Thanks discburn. Agreed, BluffTitler looks interesting, I'll try it.
