Hi,

intros for what? I do not think that you need additional software. MEP is so powerfull that you can produce nearly any opening effect (e.g. Star Wars history opener).

I guess you need some practise - there is a nice MEP book available that I can recommend.

An intro depends on your intention. It can be text or a simple fade-in. It needs an idea - you can realize really a lot with this product. Maybe you also check some of the tutorials in the workshop section.

Hi gigintiger0313,

you have to differentiate between MAGIX Movie Edit Pro and After Effects: After Effects is a compositing software that was designed for exactly this purpose whereas Movie Edit Pro is a video editing software - this is nothing easy to compare as these products have been created for different usage.

Having said this, MAGIX Movie Edit Pro offers a variety of built-in intro effects and you can also freely create your own intros. Before considering of switching to another product, it is best to explore the possibilites of the product you already have - e.g. there is an effect for burning fire in Movie Edit Pro, and you can animate your titles with size, position, transparency etc. But if you really want to work with complex particle systems like it has been done in the example videos on YouTube, a video editing software is probably not the right choice for these special tasks.

Best wishes,
your MAGIX Video Team
