How do you Import songs from Music Maker Jam

maddmedicstudio wrote on 8/26/2015, 3:34 PM

I have attempted to IMPORT songs from my Music Maker Jam application but have not been able to do so.

When a record/save and complete a song on Music Maker Jam, it automatically converts it to a MP3 file, not a mmjproject file.

And have over 20 Music Maker Jam songs on my PC.

I can find them easily . They are located in the Music File with all of my other music.

However,

The Music Maker 2015 ONLY wants to IMPORT a " mmjproject" file extension.

So it basically ignores any files that are .WAV or .MP3.

Where are the mmjproject extensions files located?

Can anyone help me here?

Thank you

Hi

That depends on which version of Music maker jam you have on the mobile.

You can import MMJam project files from a mobile (Android) phone as follows:

MMJ Version 1

Save the project on the Android phone.

From the start menu of MMJAM on the phone, select the Projects button.

Touch and hold your finger on the project name saved above - a menu will appear.

Select Export project - give the project a name and supply your email address the software is registered with - this is necessary.

MMJ version 2

Save the project on the Android phone.

Select the Home button in MMMJAM.

Select My Music

Touch the three vertical circles icon to the right of the project name saved above - a menu will appear.

Select Export project - give the project a name and supply your email address the software is registered with - this is necessary.

Importing to MMM2015 - see note below

Connect the phone into your computer.

Open Music Maker 2015 and select File, Import, Music Maker Jam project.

Click the Search button and browse to the Music folder on the phone - this is the default location project files are exported to - select and import the required .mmmproject file.

NOTE: this may take some time - the soundpool files have to be downloaded to your computer.

    Save the project in MMM2015.

You can now edit the project in MMM2015.

NOTE: at the time of writing MMM 2015 cannot import MMMJAM version 2 files - there is an issue with the new format which will not import - an update to correct this is being released soon.

HTH

Hi skymix

. . . . I'm pretty sure he said he had a computer and not a phone/android, I have this problem too and need help for Windows 10 . . .

The OP did indeed say PC, however I gave a complete answer which will apply to users who are using MMMJAM on Android and have either version.

In the case of the OP's original question you will find that the Note at the bottom of my answer applied to what the OP was trying to do at that time.

Cheers

@bernd.norm

Hi

Please post your question as a new topic and give more details in particular the software full name and version number - as found under Help, About . . . you are using.

The original post refers to Music Maker Jam and is about a different issue to that you have posted.

I would like to import Spotify songs to Music Maker Jam. It seems Spotify doesn't allows me to do this. When I search it on Google, it let me use Spotify Music Converter for Mac to convert Spotify to MP3 and then I can achieve it.

is that right? Any help?
