HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THE "SNAP", "KRACKLE", "POP" NOISE DURING PLAYBACK?

mode2269 wrote on 4/20/2016, 2:47 AM

I'VE JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED MUSIC MAKER LIVE 2016. LOVE IT! THE ONLY PROBLEM I KEEP RUNNING INTO IS THAT DURING PLAYBACK I GET THIS POPPING-SNAP TYPE SOUND THAT I CAN'T GET RID OF. I HAVE'NT RECORDED ANYTHING YET. JUST A LOOP WHORE. MOST LOOPS ARE SLICED AND DICED SO I CAN GIVE A NICE UNIQUE EDIT SOUND. ALSO I AM NOT SHY TO USE AS MANY TRACKS AS YOU OFFER. I CAN EASLY USE UP TO 28 TRKS FOR START. I AM ALSO EFFECT FRIENDLY. GOTTA HAVE THEM. I ALSO USE OTHER LOOPS FROM LOOPMASTERS, SPLICE, AND PRIMELOOPS.

IS THE EDITING TOO MUCH FOR THE PROGRAM OR AM I USING TOO MANY TRKS? OR IS IT THE OTHER LOOPS? AT TIME THE PROGRAM HAS TO CLOSE ITSELF CAUSE IT GETS STUCK. IS MY LAPTOP? I USE A HP PAVILLION BEATSAUDIO. A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS OLD. PLEASE HELP. I WANT TO START POSTING MY STUFF WITH THE COMMUNITY/SOUNDCLOUD.

Hi

Thanks for the PM - however please post back in to your own question by answering your own question - this way everyone can see what answers have been received and the results when you have tried the possible solutions etc.

From your PM:

Hello.

First off, my apologies. As requested info on my lap top.

HP Pavilion 17 Note Book PC. It was upgraded from a Windows 7 to Windows 10 just last year in December.

It has a AMD A 10-5745 M APU with Randeon (tm) HD Graphics 2.10 GHZ.

Installed Ram is 8.00 GB (7.19 usable)

64 Bit Operating System, X 64 Based Processor.

Realtek High Definition Audio.

This lap top is only used for MMJ. I don't Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, or surf the internet with it except for MMJ or other music downloads. I really hope you can help me. I noticed three of my most favorite mixed songs have these sounds going through my speaker. They are also the ones where I did a lot of editing, effect use, and load with soundpool loops.

Thank You.

Do the snap / crackle / pops appear in the final export music file when played in another player eg Windows Media Player ?

If not then this would suggest the laptop is struggling to switch loop sections, filters and effects with so many tracks and effects in use when playing the timeline.

HTH
