I tried this remedy as explained here and all it did was delete a bunch of things I did not want deleted.  I'm afraid I am going to need some very specific, step-by-step instructions.  I don't mean to sound really dense here, but the manual says something about using "Cut" mode on the cursor, then they also say to type "T" or "H" on the keyboard.  This answer from gnarly about holding down the left mouse button and moving the cursor to the end, and "then delete or do an undo command,"  Well, which is it?  Do I hit the DELETE key (that's what I tried, wiped out a bunch of stuff).  Can someone give me explicit instructions to (a) remove the 20 seconds of material that I want removed; and (b) do it in a way that will get rid of the material but NOT delete anything else and NOT replace the material with something else?

Rick....in my instructions to you I SUGGESTED you write a phony composistion and do your deleting exercise on it so yu would not lose your valuable composistion that contains the dead space.  Did yu do as I suggested....apparently not, because yuo can do a delete opertion, an undo operation , a cut operation.  Figure out which oone works for you.

One of the "problems"with Music Maker stuff is that is so flexible and nomatter how careful you are, you can inadvertently....screwup.  The software is so easy to use,you forget how powerful it is. Sorry you're having trouble.

Hi Rick. Try this it might well work.

Hold the left mouse down at where you want to start the delete & drag along the section to the end of what you want to lose. It should highlight. Then delete it and drag the following section back to the end of the previous section.

Hi Rick! I'm using Magix Audio Cleaning lab 2014. I removed empty space from all of my tracks all the time.

1. Set track markers to object edges. Click on set track marker automatically. Click on the right plus sign , this will open the tracks.

2. Click on the plus sign on the right-side, this open up the tracks, you'll see gaps between the cursor and the beginning of the track.

3. Click on the cursor on the beginning of each tracks, it will turn blue and snap at the beginning of the track. Do that for all of your tracks, I know it is a lot work, but it's worth it. I think that all Audio Cleaning Lab are similar in operation.

4. Edit, and Remove Pauses, all of your gaps will be automatically remove.

I had Magix 17 Deluxe, it had a Track Wizard that automatically set the cursor at the beginning of each song, you might need a few tweets once in a while. I cannot find that Track Wizard in Magix 2014. I appreciate someone can help me in finding it. I hope this is not too confusing, because I'm a beginner.

I suspect you didn't notice you had resurrected a post whose previous last entry was made in January 2013! As a result it is almost certain that the original questioner has long ago resolved his problem.
