How do I record over a instrumental that I uploaded?

I am new to this entire thing as far as making and recording music. I would really appreciate if someone can show me 2 things..

1. How to make a simple beat?

2. How to record over a instrumental for example, Beni Siegel I can feel it in the air.

Hi and welcome to the Magix Community,

You have to start by reading the manual and looking at some tutorials.

Click on the Tutorials tab here and look at the 4th tutorial listed, about Getting started in MusicMaker. Then you'll have a much better idea as to how to get going. Then follow that up with the Magix tutorials and reading the part of the manual indicated in the tutorial.

Then the fun part will start.
