I looked back at your previous posts and I still don't know which version of MEP that you are using. Could you please indicate this clearly?
The length of a collage is programmed into the effect and cannot be easily changed. The length of the collage is independent of the length of the individual images. One way around this is by cutting, exporting then importing a frame and inserting, etc. The best is to create your own collage exactly the way that you want it. See this tutorial by Terry Pinnell. Note that in Windows 7, the location of Collages is:
C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2014 Plus\VideoEffects\Collage
If you don't know how to change the length of an image, right-click on it and select "Change photo length", or simply drag the right end longer. Again, this has nothing to do with the length of a pre-made collage.
I hestitate to show you this, but there is a way to modify an existing collage effect and create a new one if you are skilled enough. After reviewing the above tutorial, you can copy the desired collage that you want to change to a project folder, rename it from collage_name.ctf to New_collage_name.MVD. You will need some of the files that are in the above folder, like Spacer.tif and PH.jpg and maybe others, which you can either copy to the project folder or navigate to when asked. Then open this MVD file as a project or movie in MEP and make your modifications. Create a new collage following Terry's instructions.
When you open the MVD, you will get a screen like this:
You will have to scroll down to see the templates and effects on the higher numbered tracks. Click on one of them and then on the Effects tab, Movement effects, Size/Position and you will see the key-framing and other effects that have been used. You can learn a lot by observing how these are made. But like I said, you need to be skilled enough in computing to do this and to understand what you are doing, so as not to make a mess of the existing material.
