I have music maker pro, and I use it on my laptop. I thought with my headset pluged in it would go though my headset but it gose through my speekers. How do I fix this?
If the headphones work normally for any other programs then check which audio device you have set in MMM' s playback settings - trythe various optionsalso see below about USB and Bluetooth devices.
If the headphones do not work with other programs as well then that depends on the type of connection the headset is using.
If the headphones have a standard 3.5mm jack plug - sleeve, ring and tip, then make sure it is pushed fully home.
I have a Toshiba laptop with this 'universal' port, for use with headsets/microphone such as you get with mobile phones ie 3.5mm sleeve, 2 rings and tip, and when it feels as though the plug is fully home the speakers do not cut out - another 0.5mm push and the speakers then cut out.
If the headphones are USB or Bluetooth then you need to go into to Sounds, Playback tab and set it as the default playback device - this you must do while they are plugged in.
Well there always plugged in all the way. My headphones are the standerd kind, not usb or bluetooth. My laptop is a MSI Dominator (not sure how much the edsact brand matters). So I tryed messing with the sound setting and playback tab. And cant seem to make it work. I am not sure what you mean by push and the speakers then cut out.
. . . . I am not sure what you mean by push and the speakers then cut out. . . . .
On my Toshiba, with one of my earphone sets with a 3.5mm plug it appears to go all the way in and 'clicks' as though it has fully home - see top image below.
However with a further push ( not too hard ) the plug goes in about another 0.5mm and gives a more positive 'click', see lower image below, this second push cuts out the speakers .
In Music maker try the audio settings as shown below
Then check the sound card control panel to see if there is an option such as 'Detect headphones' and that it is turned on.
Thank you so much, that fixed it. I can't belive I over looked the gear (face palm myself for myself) Thank you for your help! Now I hear it through my headphones instead of my speakers.
