Congratulations on your purchase. You are among the first. I have 2014 Premium.
Make sure that you go to Help, Update program/Update functions, Download free synthesizer and sound packages. There is also a reminder and a button to do this when you start up the program. Download everything. This is usually the first step before doing anything, otherwise you probably have no instruments or soundpools.
Once installed, click on the + button at the left of a track and the long list of instruments will open. Select one and it will load it for the track. Make sure that you connected your midi keyboard before opening MMM, each time so that MMM can detect it. You will need to select the ASIO driver or get ASIO4All to reduce latency.
Also, near the bottom of the screen, click on the Instruments tab. There you will see the VST instruments installed. Vita2 should be one of them. Click on Object synthesizer at the very left and you will see the synthesizers installed. But they will only be there if you do the first step above - installed everything.
All items are installed - I bought the DVD. All the instruments - the object - and vst-synths. All the soundpools. But I can't figure out how to load Vita Sampler with my own sounds, how to upload them on the sampler
It says like this on Magix homepage concerning Vita Sampler, which is a sampler in the brand new MMM2015Premium:
Your own sound: Vita Sampler
Develop your own instrument: Drag instrument recordings (e.g. from your smart phone) into the sampler – cuts & pad assignments are made automatically.
Start playing right away.
I can drag and drop wav-files from windows explorer to the Vita sampler. There my wave-file is cut in multiple pieces and 8 of them are random selected but I cannot adjust their lenght or start or ending-point.
I use samplitude music studio 2016. There you load it as a midi out /vsti in a track. Then you can drag and drop your wav file from windows explorer. From my experience, it (the wav file) must have more than 8 discreet sounds, separated with silence so that the automatic chopper can detect the individual samples. Also in my opinion, only the forward direction and 1 shot are useful, but this is because I prefer conventional natural sounds, other people may also like the other options (reverse playing, loop etc). The samples that you like for your pads you lock and press randomize (dice) to select other samples for your unassigned pads. Then to be able to reload this set of presets for the pads you have to save the bank with a new name to a folder that you can remember. You can also resize the length of the individual samples as well as move them around but I find that locking and randomizing the rest of the pads is easier. I wish it had more than 8 pads and that you could add individual wav files next to each other on the chopper but unfortunately it can only take one wav file at a time. I hope this helps
