How do I get rid of the audio that is on the video?

I want to eliminate the audio track that was originally on the video and add my own soundtrack. How do I do that? I am using Movie Edit Pro 14.

Mark your video by clicking in it (video and audio gets red) and click the Broken Chain symbol (Ungroup) or Ctrl+M. Now you can Delete the soundtrack.

Or drag the rectangle in the middle of the sound track (volume) down to the base line. (This can be done without Ungrouping)
