How do I extract scenes to put into another file so I can post them on e-mails or to facebook?

Have got MAGIX Rescue Your Videotapes and managed to get one video onto the pc now but it's lots of various things and I'd like to extract a scene or two to post on facebook or send to family on e-mail.  Obviously only want to send extracts that feature them.

How do I copy scenes from this movie and get them into another project?

Thanks!

If you're running VideoEasy, all you can do is load the fulll film i.e. project, then delete the sections you do not want to. This means you need to make various cuts or splits. Set the point(s) where you want this to be, by sliding the vertical line there,  and press the letter T on your keyboard.

Once you have done this enough times to isolate the sections, mark what you don't want by putting the cursor on it and clicking left mouse button, then press the delete key. This will leave you with what you want.

Then click on Finish video and save to disc, or upload to youtube or whatever you want to do. You'll have to repeat the procedure for the other sections you wish to send people.

Thanks for response.

I had a feeling that might be the only way.  Ah well, I'll have to get cutting and splicing then!

Hi heather 1963, that's one of the difficulties once you start getting into video editing with video easy. It is very easy to use, but also by obvious virtue of the fact that it's kept simple. Once you get, you want to try more, and then the only real choice is Movie Edit Pro range.

If you're considering that, and your version of Video Easy is not that old, then in your position I would ask MAGIX to see what price they can offer you. I know there are always special upgrade prices, one version to the next, and crossgrades. No harm in asking if you want things easier. Try out a free trial first though, just to make sure.
