Hey Guys thanks for answering me back and you are right i am using a Dual layer disk but thats not the problem i am having. I figured out that my video that i crated is just a bit longer the the space on the disk the disk i am using is a Memorex 240 min DVD+R  8x 8.5GB it says it has 8152 GB's of Space for use. but my movie is 9415GB according to when i go to burn it. A pop up shows up and says i don't have enough space for the film to fit on one disk do i want to put it on to 2 disk's. Now here is the tricky part i understand all that but what i need help with is how do i compress this film to fit on one disk with out it losing to much quality? i am new to all this editing and i learned a lot in just a short time. But i realy need to know this. so if you can tell me if Magix movie edit pro 18 can compress my video to fit the disk can you send me a step by step instruction way of doing so? I need to know what settings to set up and how to do so.And i need to know what to set them at? so i can leave them there for future use. once again thanks for your help and if you can get me past this problem i will give you a great review.

Sincerely Charles C.

Try 'Encoder settings' >> 'Adjust bit rate' which will, according the the Help file, make a rate auto adjustment so your project will fit. How much if any noticeable loss of quality will of course depend on the project size and content.

Hi

Adjusting the bitrate using the slider as shown in the image or click the 'Adapt bitrate' button  will reduce the size of the video so you can fit it onto a disc.

The button should be more accurate as it will go for the highest setting possible yet still fit the movie to the disc.

Normally, with the DVD in the burner when you get to start the burn, MEP will tell you the video will not fit on the disc and ask you to adapt the bitrate to allow it to fit.
