Sure, it can be done in MMM, but it's not simple.  Here's the simple version of how I would do it:

1. Make a copy of the object you want to add echo (delay) to and move it directly down to another track while keeping it in sync with the original.

 2.  Stretch the object down so only the word "open" is exposed. Then stretch the end of the new object out as far as necessary to make room for the echo to "ring out".  Don't leave it short and don't worry about the extra waveforms right now. Using the "snap to" grid lines will make things easier.

3. Export (only) the new object as a WAV file. Give it a name (like Open Echo) and save it where you can find it, preferably in your project folder.

4. Import the new WAV file and place it where the original copy was (delete that).

5. Open the wav object in the External Editor.  Highlight everything after the 'N' in "open".  In the EDIT menu, go to...   More > Set silence.  Everything after the 'N' in "open" will be removed leaving the rest as empty space.  Click SAVE.

6. Now, in the new edited object, open the object effects rack.  Click the power button on the Variverb effects processor to turn it on.  On the right end is the Delay effect.  Click on the pull-down menu and choose the "Long reflections" option. Adjust the Delay knob to get the echo in sync with the rest of the arrangement.  Adjust the Feedback knob to increase the number of echo's if desired.  Use the Mix knob to control how quickly the echo's fade out.  When you're happy, click OK (not Apply).

7. Adjust (stretch) the beginning of the object so the echo'ed part starts right where you want it to. Cut out (only) that part of the word "open" in the original object (not the copy).

That will do it.
